Meet Abby
A warm, grounded presence for the work of healing
Abby Spencer is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from John Brown University. She has experience working with adolescents and adults, and has a particular passion for supporting women in their 20s and 30s.
Abby works with clients navigating anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and relational challenges. She helps clients identify patterns, deepen self-understanding, and build compassion for the parts of themselves they may have pushed aside — often exploring how early experiences shape present-day struggles, while empowering the present-day self to make decisions based on values, not fear.
Above all, Abby is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, accepted, and empowered to be their full selves.

How I Work
A relational, insight-oriented approach
Abby draws from several evidence-based modalities, tailoring each to the person in front of her — helping you make decisions based on values, not fear.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Building compassion for the parts of yourself you may have pushed aside, and reconnecting with the calm, confident self underneath.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Learning to hold difficult thoughts and feelings with openness while moving toward what truly matters to you.
Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)
Working with emotion as a source of insight and change, transforming stuck patterns into new ways of relating to yourself and others.

You are the expert on your own life. Therapy is a collaborative space grounded in empathy, acceptance, and genuineness.
